We went on a hike to a beach with the friends we were staying with. My dad had said that it was a driftwood beach. I didn’t really know what that meant. I thought that there would be some washed up wood.
There was wood everywhere and somebody had made forts out of the wood. There were big forts, small forts, long forts and they were all made out of wood. The first thing the kids did was team up with another kid, pick a fort and declare war. We all used sticks as swords. I was teamed up with Brynn. After a while Brynn and I decided to build another fort so we started searching the beach. We made another fort next to the fort we had claimed. While we were collecting wood for the fort we got her dad to help us build a seesaw out of a huge tree. All of the kids came over and played on it.
Before we left the beach we took a family photo sitting on one of the forts.
